Translations once and for all

For each template the translation has to be re-made, is this necessary? The translation file once translated to the native language must be somewhere in the template? Is there no way to make this file from a new template into the native language with copy/paste?
I hope that was understandable. Sincerely, Wim |

Hi!
Unfortunately, there is no such system. But you may find that the translation default values are located inside the wp-content/themes/yourtheme/inc/settings.php file ( till the theme version 3.0 ) and inside the wp-content/themes/yourtheme/includes/settings.php file for 3.0 versions. I'm not sure: this file may differ for some themes, but I guess that it is the same. So you may set the needed value there. |

Thank you. I have changed the files and copy those in the future in the templates. Maybe it can be made easier in the future?
