Slider sporratically appearing and not appearing

I am having issues with the slider. I have it set to appear only on the home page, but while navigating the site, the slider will do whatever it feels like doing. Sometimes it will appear only on the homepage. Other times it will appear on every page, and then sometimes when clicking back to the homepage it will disappear. It requires a refresh of the page to make it act like it's supposed to. For a designer, this isn't a great first impression to set out there to potential clients. Any thoughts?
