Sidebars in mobile

Is there anyway to make the sidebars visible when viewing the site on a mobile device?

To fix this you can only disable the responsive web design by following the insruction: http://smthemes.com/support/topic/howtodisablemobileandtabletmodes/.

This made the page display the way I wanted on my mobile device. However, it removed the menu drop down box. The remaining menu was just my 1st menu entry. Any idea how to make the page display like I want while retaining that drop down menu?
