Sidebar Height 100

I changed the background-color of my left and right sidebar. One is really short.

How to set the height to 100%. Now the height depends on the content of the sidebars. So would be nice to have a dynamic sidebar which adjust to content-length of the page. so always 100% height. any ideas?
