SEO Plugin Conflicting with Theme

Hello,

I have downloaded the Simple One theme on my website. I have also downloaded the SEO Plugin (Yoast) to edit how my pages appear in Google search. It seems like there's coding within the theme that is conflicting with the plugin, can you please help?

I found these two relevant threads:

- I did this already, deleted these codes.

- I tried deleting the <?php $SMTheme->show_title(); ?>, but nothing changed.
- Tried replacing it with <?php wp_title(''); ?> as has been instructed by Yoast before but then the title of the page appears in the actual page and not the browser title

Please help me find this out, i'm dealing with the same problem!
