Picture Alignment and Editing

Hi
I am having real problems getting any images to do what I want them to do. The two main issues are 1. they wont align, left, right or centre, meaning there is never any text wrapping 2. When I add captions to the photos, there is no border, like there is on the back end editing posts screen I have tried to contact support, but after trying their suggestions, all they said was "there must be a bug in my Wordpress files!" Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, do they have any answers? Here is an example link to one of the posts http://www.ourtravelography.com/swan-upping-in-henley/ Thanks in advance Richard |

Richard, I'm having the SAME problem and am most frustrated. Did you ever figure out the issue? Hoping a bump in this thread will generate a response from someone who can help.
My pics are set to centered, but you can see they aren't. http://www.therecipehunter.com/ Can we get some help with this? |

Hi!
To make the alignment right/left/center you have to put your cursor on image and press the icon "Edit Image". Here you have to set the alignment. Please, don't forget to update the image and the post. |

Alice, I'm doing that. I update and save the post upon editing. But regardless, even when writing the post in the original form, I set the alignment to what I'd like, and it DOES NOT do what it's supposed to. Everything is flush left. No matter what. I've even checked the code in the text editor to make sure it's right and it seems to be.
What other help can you suggest? |

Probably, this is caused by the work of your third-party plugins. Please, try to disable your plugins one by one to detect the problem.

Ok, I've disabled all plugins. And as I started a new post here's what I discovered....
I was posting a new blog with multiple photos that I would upload one by one as I typed my post. I decided to upload a few photos at once and then go back and add them into the body of the post. These images are in fact centered but have no captions while the rest of the images will not center. These are showing a paragraph code but something is wrong with the captions: <p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.therecipehunter.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/IMG_20931.jpg"><img class="aligncenter wp-image-93" alt="Jalapeños " src="http://www.therecipehunter.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/IMG_20931-768x1024.jpg" width="461" height="614" /></a></p> While the pictures that I upload directly into the visual editor show this code which shows captions (not formatted correctly) but won't align to center either. [caption id="attachment_62" align="center" width="430"]<a href="http://www.therecipehunter.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/IMG_1880.jpg"><img class=" wp-image-62 " alt="Harissa Fries from Carpe Diem Wine Bar, Napa, CA" src="http://www.therecipehunter.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/IMG_1880-768x1024.jpg" width="430" height="573" /></a> Harissa Fries from Carpe Diem Wine Bar, Napa, CA[/caption] What's causing the difference in the text editor? And how can I get my images centered AND with captions??? I hope someone can help me! |

Displaying Images in content is the function of Wordpress. Our themes don't customize this. As I can see you fixed the problem, didn't you?

Yes Alice I did figure out the issue. There was code that needed to be in the style.css and all works great now. Thank you for your help.
