I Want Exerpts instead of Content in the Home Slider

Hello,

I'm having a hard time fully loving this theme, its great but its missing some deal breakers.

The one I'm missing now is the ability to have excerpts for my sliders instead of showing content. This theme makes excerpts useless.
And I'm looking for a way to add excerpts in my CSS.
Any IDeas?

Slides can't have an excerpt, because this is not a post or page. Only posts and pages can have this type of content.
