Installationusage questions

hi guys

i've just purchased RoundtheWorld and have a few questions.

1. first, and biggest issue is that the theme isn't displaying my posts. here's what I see after i activate the theme. http://i.imgur.com/bMQSVth.png

2. second, is there any way the image slider can scale images that are too big? that would be handy to not have to resize each image i want to put into the slider.
