Gamecenter dropdown not functioning as expected

Hello there. I was using the Gamecenter wordpress theme. I am considering purchasing it but I need to make sure it will function first. I am having trouble with the drop down menu which is under the header and above the slider. The trouble I'm having is that when I have a category of "blog posts" and several different people who post. I want the drop down to show the names of the various bloggers when you hover over it and I have my categories set up that way. However, the drop down menu never drops down. In the control panel it's set to a delay of 800. I tried changing that to several different values but it never worked.

The only change I made to the style sheet was moving the menu/slider/content down some pixels to accommodate the larger header I made.

Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated.
