Change of homepage: smaller slider area

Hi,
I want to have sidebar from the top of homepage.
Then i need change size of Slider area... How i can do it?
can you help me with this change please?

Slider styles are specified in style.css 216-276 lines. You have to set the desired width to styles .slider, .fp-thumbnail, .fp-slides and .fp-slides-items and change left value of .fp-content and .fp-content-fon for the correct display of slide text. Also you have to change width of images/slider-background.jpg to correct display of shadow under slides.
