Center column

I can't figure out how to delete the unsightly banners, Flickr images, and facebook friends that seem permanently glued down the center of this theme. I would expect it to be simple (exposed in the widgets area or under layouts or something, but it's not. Can somebody help me please?

Basically I just want to nuke the entire center column. it's a waste of valuable site real-estate and it's filled with content that's not relevant to what I'm trying to do.

These widgets will not be displayed after you drag other widgets in the Left sidebar on page Appearance->Widgets in your dashboard.
At this moment this theme does not support custom sidebars layouts, so you can not use this theme only with one sidebar. This theme will be updated soon, to fix it.
