Bullets not showing

I have created a couple posts with bullet lists. The UL & LI tags appear to be populated in the HTML properly, but the bullets do not show up on the posts. Numbered lists seem to work ok, but not bullets.

.articles ul { padding:10px 40px; list-style:disc; }

Thanks very much! that worked perfectly. I also re-downloaded the updated theme and it solved a couple other minor bugs I was dealing with.
