Adding Horizontal Custom Menu

I am new to this wordpress. How do i add custom horizontal menu in the header or main menu bar? I tried adding them from the Appearance> Menu option. Created multiple custom menu from there. But they do not show up. Please help.

I am using the Celebrity theme and am having the same problem. The Menus I added do not show up when I view the page.
