Change site width

Hello,
my site is 1000px witdh with the right sidebar.

But I want to use the left sidebar to without to change the middle place where I have post Pictures.

If I activate the left sidebar to the Pictures are cutted thats why I make the site wider than 1000px

Could you give us the URL of your website and clarify the problem with width of the content. As you can see on demo of Onion there is demonstration of the page with the left sidebar and it looks fine. Have you already changed any files of the theme?
